I have always wished I could do this, but the photo editing program I have is very limited. Now I won't need to spend a large amount of money on expensive PE programs! WOO-HOO!

So many of us wonder how we can help our military men and women overseas. Here is a way that I learned about today from Campus Crusade for Christ's Military Ministry. It's the Rapid Deployment Kit. Including shipping and distribution costs, it takes just $3.25 to get each RDK into the hands of a service member. This includes a camouflage New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs, a 90-day devotional, and a Would You Like to Know God Personally? booklet that clearly and simply shares the Gospel. All the materials are packaged in a waterproof bag small enough to fit into a soldier's pocket.
"Despite talk of troop reductions, Campus Crusade for Christ's Military Ministry continues to receive requests for an average of 15,000 to 20,000 RDKs each month—many for young men and women straight out of basic training and heading into deployment."
What a great ministry for homeschool families and even schools!
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
After a splendid victory at sea, Lord Nelson confronted the French admiral who was surrendering. The admiral, dressed in all of his regalia, approached Nelson to surrender. With his sword swinging by his side, the admiral put out his hand to the British commander. Lord Nelson stepped back and said, “Your sword first.” There are a lot of people who think they can walk up and glad hand the Lord Jesus Christ. He says, “Your sword first.” Surrender first! Jesus is not an appeaser, and He will never make a truce with sin. Never! We have to abdicate the throne. We have to surrender.
I feel moved to share more songs that mean a lot to me in desperate times. They also mean a lot to me in quiet times of reflection. I will add them as they come up in my heart and memory. Here's one called The Voice of Truth by Casting Crowns. And here's another one that's long but incredibly moving. After Gloria Gaither speaks, Guy Penrod sings Then Came the Morning.
And now, on a lighter note, here are some pictures from last summer that hopefully will make
you smile. My boys are/were not the kind to get very muddy, so I got a kick out of this. (I'm sure some of you think it's nothing!) I'm not sure if I should use the title "Got Mud?" or maybe "Got Water (& soap)"!
